"Ghanaians are not your children so stop the children analogy..." the Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr has told Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta.
Calls for the Finance Minister to step down escalated after he made a u-turn on the government seeking help from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
He, however, insists he won't resign.
"To resign is like telling a father to resign from his children because he changed his mind,” he said.
But contributing to a panel discussion on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo', Kwesi Pratt says it's wrong for anyone to consider Ghanaians as their children.
"Ghanaians are not your children so stop the children analogy . . . Ghanaians are your bosses who have employed and paying you, so the relationship is totally different," he said.
