Bollie's real name is Ishmael Hamid. Bollie (Boli) was featured on (Edward Osei Poku) Hammer's Sounds of our time compilation.

His track, You may kiss your bride was the biggest hit from the album and was on the charts for several weeks.

He based his hit song on the most interesting part of any wedding ceremony where the priest or the pastors says the groom may kiss the bride. He felt that the song would help preserve the marriage institution song to that effect it would go far.

The song addresses the good and bad sides of marriage. This 2005 hit was used as the theme song for Accra Hearts of Oak after they snatched the CAF cup from Kumasi Asante Kotoko, their bitterest rivals.

Hearts aka Phobia supporters replaced "bride" with "cup" in this song's chorus. Fuelled by this phenomenon, Bollie's single became a chart-topper and Hammer's Execution Diary sold many more copies as a result.
