Former President John Agyekum Kufour says he still cannot come to terms with the unfortunate news of the death of the Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North, Joseph Boakye Danquah, who was stabbed to death in his house in the wee hours of Tuesday.
After carefully studying and analyzing the trend of murder cases being recorded in Ghana lately, the Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party has observed the nation has reached this frightening point because President Mahama hasn’t made security his top most priority.
“The police is supposed to prevent Togolese from registering in Ghana to vote for the NDC. But if they are not doing it because they are tired, then ‘an angry man is an angry man’, we the chiefs also have our guards. We can prevent people from coming to our land to vote for the NDC” - Togbe Kwaku Apasu, the chief of Nyive in the Norvisi Traditional Area of the Volta Region stated in a bid to ensure Nana Addo’s presidency.
The leadership of the New Patriotic Party hereby directs that all party flags at all regional and constituency offices across the country should be flown at half-mast, from today, February 9, 2016, to Monday, February 15, 2016.
