The assembly is also expected to receive GHC 1.8 million as its share of the District Assembly Common Fund.

He said to promote education in the area, the assembly has sponsored 35 students to participate in this year's Eastern Regional Science, Technology and Mathematics Clinic, in Koforidua at the cost of GHC 2,500.

Mr Asiamah said 14 basic schools had 100 percent pass in this year's Basic Education Certificate Examination, as against seven schools that had 100 per cent pass last year.

He said the assembly organized training for physically challenged persons and with support from a non-governmental organization (NGO), presented 25 wheel chairs and 16 clutches to them
