Government will establish industrial parks in all the 10 regions of the country as part of its efforts to create jobs, Trade Minister Alan Kyeremanten has said.
Speaking at a Trade Facilitation Agreement (TFA) and National Single Window Project event, Mr Kyerematen said: “With such industrial parks, companies can establish in each of the regions they prefer due to the available resources at the particular location.”
A Turkish firm has declared its intent to invest $150million into the projects.
On the facilitation agreement, Mr Kyeremanten said: “I see the combination of the enhanced trade facilitation and trade development programmes as a dynamic synergy for the economic development of our country.”
These developments, he said, are part of the government’s plans to change the way international businesses are regulated in the country by providing an enhanced business regulatory environment.

Too much big talk and promises. Reduce the ultility tariffs as promised Ghanaians first. Stop the bragging.
I think they are walking on a thin rope. Sometimes filifili is what Ghanaians need. Please do it and announce it later. If this is carried out people will be clapping for you. Remember Ghanaians are saboteurs, so please, pass the test and then praise thyself.
I think this government is talking too much - we need one thing at a time - we need the 1 district 1 factory to take off before this regional park issue - they should slow down - they are talking too much - we need visible action - not talking action.
