Former Member of Parliament for Bantama constituency, Dr. Henry Kwabena Kokofu has said his party and government in power do not enjoy blaming the previous government on its bad policies that have led the country into extreme hardship.
He said, rather, the government in power must make the citizens aware of what they inherited and how far they have reached correcting those mistakes.
“People keep asking why we keep blaming the previous government after two years in government. Why not? if the level of mess created is taking us more time than we expected to fix it,” he said.
Speaking on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ programme, he affirmed “we will continue to remind ourselves what we inherited and the changes we have made so far, therefore, the blame game can never be taken out even though the ordinary Ghanaian is not interested in that, but I believe they will soon understand the basics of the past awareness.”
According to him, they have identified the problems facing the country and the solutions to those problems have as well been outlined, but the work cannot be done in a day.
“We know the problems and their respective solutions but we must make citizens aware of where we took over from. We must also let the past be our guide to know how far we have come . . .” he said.

A GOOD LEADER IS ONE WHO MAKES PEOPLE OR HIS FOLLOWERS FORGET OF PREVIOUS CHALLEMGES AND DIFFICULTIES THAT THEY EXPERIENCED BEFORE AND NOT A LEADER WHO WILL ALWAYS REMIND FOLLOWERS OF THE DIFFICULTIES OF THE PAST AND TELL YOU NOT TO COMPLAIN. A GOOD LEADER SUCH AS PRESIDENT PAUL KAGAME OF RWANDA TRY AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE TO MAKE THEIR FOLLOWERS FORGET EVEN ALL "BADDIES" AND "GOODIES" THAT HAPPENED IN THE PAST BY POURING BETTER GOODIES TO SURPASS PREVIOUS GOODIES BUT NOT TO CONTINUE TO REMIND THEIR FOLLOWERS OF HOW THEY SUFFERED UNDER ANOTHER LEADER SOME TIME PAST IF EVEN THAT EVER HAPPENED. A USE*LESS AND HOPE*LESS LEADER CONTINUES TO ATTACK HIS PREDECESSORS FOR THE CURRENT WOES OF HIS PEOPLE. IF YOU MARRY A DIVORCED WOMAN YOU MAKE HER HAPPY SO THAT SHE FORGETS THE PREVIOUS MALTREATMENT SHE EXPERIENCED IN THE HANDS OF HER PREVIOUS HUSBAND AND TO REMIND HER OF HER HARDSHIPS IN THE PREVOIUS MARRIAGE. IF YOU CONTINUE TO REMIND HER OF ISSUES OF THE PREVIOUS MARRIAGE THEN YOU ARE MORE OF A FAILURE THAN HER FIRST HUSBAND.
NDC and governance is like putting a dog in charge meat being roasted for a party. They scramble for money like cats compete for mice. Why do we go to church repeatedly? Is it because we have never heard the passages being read? No, but to keep a constant reminders of our responsibilities and to show our appreciation to God's love in our small ways. Reminding ourselves repeatedly of the mess the NDC caused is to remind those with "short memories" the nature and incompetence of the NDC. This is a must if Ghana is to see the light of development. Thanks Dr, and give us more of those. I wish a 10 minutes slot of NDC MESS is read before 6am news everyday to serve as a constant CAUTION of the WAYS OF THE DESTROYER.
You did not know what was in the kitty yet you went on a promising spree. That is what Ghanaians are talking about. You said there was money in Ghana and borrowing was a lazy way of running an economy. The realityb has now dawned on you so do not remind us about what NDC did or didn't do
NDC have deployed its students of Democratic Ideology Institute to attack anything from Nana Addo and Dr. Bawumia on Facebook, peacefmonline, Ghanaweb and all the other social media platform. And when you check the names of those students, you will laugh.
Yes, the blame game is what you are good at, ever since you lied to power, tell us the one good thing you have done, forget about the free shs which is in shambles and tell us, apart from personal attacks on the opposition members and the blame game what have your government achieved.
If I face a challenge, I will run to someone who can rescue me and not a party like NDC. Keep preaching negative things about the NPP but that will not translate into votes for you with your Incompetent One in charge
NDC people keep saying things are difficult in Ghana. They may be right but I wonder why they think they will come back to power due to the difficulties. The NDC is clueless so there is no way I will vote for you even if I'm dying because you will rather worsen my plight
What have you done to deserve our praise? ndaadaa nkutooo
