Mobile money customers who are wrongfully overcharged following the implementation of the 1 per cent levy on electronic transfers will be reimbursed, the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has assured.
Speaking to Accra-based Citi FM, a member of the E-levy Technical Committee GRA, Opoku Afriyie Asante, said the Authority is working hard to put in place adequate measures to reimburse customers overcharged.
“I would like to assure the general public that the Commissioner General is doing all that he can and if there are any system glitches the GRA would be available to reimburse if you are wrongfully deducted,” Mr Afriyie Asante said.
The implementation of the revised Electronic Transfer levy (E-Levy) rate of 1% kicked off on Wednesday, January 11, 2023.
