In fulfilling our corporate social responsibility dubbed "growing communities," Omnibank hosted 2016 Graduates of Abbi Creation University College for a 2 day capacity building training session.
The Omnibank SME Clinic is a platform to provide free training to SME business owners and managers on regular basis in an environment that allows them to engage with leading experts on best practices and solutions for managing various aspects of their businesses.
The training under the theme "Building a Startup: Starting Right for Long Term Success" is to equip the new fashion designers with the requisite skills and resources to enable them grow their businesses as entrepreneurs.
The event was hosted at the Bank's training centre located at East Legon and was facilitated by young entrepreneurs who are making strides in the fashion industry.
In December 2016, the Managing Director of Omnibank, Philip Oti-Mensah assured graduates of the bank's commitment to equipping them with the requisite skills by offering a free SME session for them.
The objective of the SME Clinic was to provide training on various crucial management practices. Topics that were treated during the training session included financial management, customer service and branding.
These topics were delivered to participants in a blend of classroom style training and informal (workshop) style. Through this approach, participants received a blend of training experiences to enhance their understanding.
Omnibank has been supporting the development of SMEs and entrepreneurs in the last three years. With its position as an SME focused bank, it will continue to offer these services to various SMEs.
According to Dominic Donkoh, Head, Business and Retail Banking :"In 2017, we are scaling up. The bank is committing more resources to ensure that more SMEs benefit from his unique service offering"
