A delegation from Trinidad and Tobago, arrived in the country at the weekend, to explore the oil and gas industry.

Ms Charles Mendes, (Ed. correct) Ambassador of Trinidad and Tobago to Nigeria, who met the delegation at the Kotoka International Airport, said her country was known world wide for its success in petrol and oil exploration.

"It is this experience of about 50 years that we have come to share with Ghana," she said.

She said it was necessary for Ghana to involve local participation as much as possible in the oil industry.

Dr. Kwabena Donkor, Deputy Minister of Energy, who was also at the airport to meet the delegation, said Ghana was most pleased to collaborate with Trinidad and Tobago in oil and gas exploration, adding that it was government's expectation that the collaboration would yield mutual benefits.
