The Ghana National Association of Poultry Farmers (GNAPF) on Friday opened its new office in Accra to facilitate its day to day business operations.
Mr Kwadwo Asante, National Chairman for GNAPF, said the association was established in 1992 and registered in 1995 with the aim to restructuring the body for effective business transactions.
The new office was funded by Liberty Ghana Commodity Limited (LGCL), Exporters and Wholesalers of agriculture goods.
Mr Asare Mensah, Director of Animal Production at the Ministry of Food and Agriculture said there is dialogue between the Ministry and the association for the establishment of Ghana National of Poultry Council to ensure the productivity of the farmers.
He said the office would help make the Association viable in the sight of the public especially stakeholders who want to engage members for effective business.
Mr Daniel Attuah, Consultant for LGCL said his outfit had sign a Memoranda of Understanding to support the association with its new office because it believed in the success and contributions made by the poultry farmers in the country.
