Leading U.S. carrier in West Africa extends best wishes to the people of Ghana on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Africa Unity Day. Ghana celebrates with five other countries namely including Mali, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe where Delta has sales representation.

Since 2011, Delta has been investing in our services in Ghana. Together with KLM, Delta built two new boarding gates at Accra's Kotoka Airport to improve passenger comfort and convenience. Delta is also investing to ensure the highest level of reliability in the schedule with increased maintenance and customer service personnel based in Accra. Plus, Delta has undertaken service training programs and changed onboard menus to feature selections that are more appealing to our Ghanaian customers.

“Delta will not relent in its effort to offer good and reliable services to the people of Ghana,” said Bobby Bryan, Delta's commercial manager for West and East Africa.

Later this year, Delta will re-introduce the Boeing 767-300 aircraft with fully flat-bed seats for customers flying in BusinessElite. Customers will be able to enjoy 77-inch, 180-degree full flat-beds in a one-two-one configuration, allowing direct aisle access and enhanced privacy.

In-seat audio and video on demand entertainment will be installed throughout Economy Class on these flights providing more than 20 first-run and popular classic movies, a variety of television programs, thousands of music titles and a suite of video games. Additionally, Economy Comfort, Delta’s premium economy service, continues to be available on all flights providing up to four additional inches of legroom and 50 percent more recline than Delta’s standard Economy class seat, as well as priority boarding.

Delta currently operates daily flights from Accra, Ghana to New York-JFK, U.S, as well as three weekly service to Monrovia, Liberia. Besides Ghana, Delta operates in four other African countries namely Liberia, Nigeria, Senegal, and South Africa and has transported over 3 million customers between Africa and the U. S.

Delta Air Lines serves more than 160 million customers each year. Delta was named by Fortune magazine as the most admired airline worldwide in its 2013 World’s Most Admired Companies airline industry list, topping the list for the second time in three years.
