A SSNIT contributor, Emmanuel Walker, has called for National dialogue on the implementation of the new National Pension Scheme ACT 766, 2008 to iron out flaws emerging in its transition stage.
Mr Walker also called for the amendment of the scheme saying it is not in the interest of the public servant.
Mr Walker explained the outcome of a research he conducted on the negative effect of the new scheme on the Ghanaian worker.
Meanwhile, commenting on the concerns raised against the implementation of the new pensions scheme, the training officer of the National Pension Regulatory Authority, Emmanuel Awuku Dagbanu, admitted that though enough consultations had been done on the three tier Pension Scheme, some more education is required.
He told Radio Ghana that a National Dialogue may not be appropriate but amendment to the act will be necessary due to the emerging charges.
