The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), has donated computers and accessories, including heavy duty printers and photocopiers, to the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) to enhance their operations.

Mr George Blankson, Commissioner-General GRA, said the gesture was to strengthen the existing partnership between the two institutions.

EOCO has been supporting the GRA in efforts to help retrieve taxes owed to the state by recalcitrant individuals and institutions.

Mr Blankson said the collaboration between the two institutions has been useful in dealing with disobedient taxpayers, adding that EOCO has been able to identify more than 1,000 of taxpayers who are currently outside the tax net.

He said the GRA is ready to extend the boundary of support to EOCO when revenues increase to enable them to collaborate to meet the goal of increasing revenue.

Mr Justice Tsar, Acting Executive Director EOCO, said his office would continue to work in collaboration with the GRA to help retrieve taxes owed to the state.

He said the cooperation is necessary as a collective activity to bring the state the necessary revenue for development.
