Dear Babies in Nana Addo’s Gov’t, I trust that you are gloating in this long-awaited electoral victory.
It is your right. You worked for it and duly deserve to celebrate; nobody will hold that back from you.
But just some few lines for you to consider as you look forward to “positions” in the government; be they at the office of the presidency or ministries, etc. I believe you are aware of the BABIES WITH SHARP TEETH in the soon to be gone administration, whose back I personally cannot wait to see melt into oblivion.
Their presence was a huge burden. They ripped into every person, mostly our elders who disagreed with them. Their politics was vile! Eiish! They were not only caustic and corrosive in their attacks, but left deep scars in the heart of their victims.
These were guys our taxes paid. We gave them everything but what did they do? They insulted our fathers and mothers, uncles and anyone within reach who disagreed with them.
Their attitude and actions were like the executioner at a palace during the 18 centuries. They had no mercy on those they were asked to execute. You know them, heard them, and saw what they did to us.
I want to believe that those of you coming will not follow that path. Make sure you leave the arrogance and pomposity in your bedroom, come with a humane image.
Even if you don’t have one, begin to soak yourself in that frame. Be slow to anger, reflect before you respond.
Hold back your fire, even if you are the victim that has been provoked. You are not a superman so some few slips may happen, but, please, apologize and move on.
Don’t hold your ground, let it go. We SHALL not tolerate ANYONE who shows up with not only sharp teeth but one that is fit for the wheels of a Tarkwa to Nsawama bound train.
That will be resisted with incessant name calling and shaming. The Yentie Obiaa elements should remember we are still HERE! We shall support you to meet the aspiration of all of us, including Adoley and her friends. What we shall not tolerate is disrespect and insult of our ELDERS.

Like I said, refrain from bastardising the elderly in society. They may not always agree with your position- but you have to respect their opinion.
It is fair to disagree with them but do so in the most civilised manner. The image of the youth has been heavily dented by most of these “Assase Aban” boys and girls in the soon to be gone administration, whose image did not reflect the personality of their leader, John Mahama.
Let’s show to the rest of the world young people are capable of being given leadership positions in government and when that happens, they hold their own with distinction. They run their offices with respect, not ARROGANCE.
Also remember not everyone who phones you is in desperate need of help or anything. Not everyone who sends you an email is in desperate need of money.
I am not saying spend all your time responding to emails, phone calls or anything, NEVER. All am saying is don’t shell yourself away from us, be accessible.
It’s my prayer that you will not disappoint your COUNTRY and the teeming youth of this country who are looking up to you to help the elected president fulfil his campaign promises to the people.

This is a brilliant article. It touches all the relevant areas of the failings of government by the NDC govt. Where l fundamentally disagree with you is the inclusion of youngsters in govt especially as ministers of state, plus the inability to sack officials when clear mistakes are costly made. NDC govt employed youngster coming out of Universities and making them ministers of state. Why? For such a person to think of Moral, ethical and social responsibility issues, he must get rich first using all unsavoury means to to do that. Thus NPP govt must not make such mistake. Equally if a minister messes up and the public money is wasted the minister should and must be sacked to serve as a lessen to others in similar positions. NDC and the failures of the World Cup representations in Brazil '14. That was a sheer disgrace and no one paid a price for it. Why?
well said my brother. God bless you
Good advice. Hope they listen
The DALAI LAMA is reported to have said "our main purpose in life is to help others, and if you cant help them, at least dont hurt them", the bible also said honour thy father and mother so that thy stay on earth will be long.Thy father and mother is not necessarily your biological father and mother but all people within the age bracket of your father and mother,so when i saw young ministers/appointees like omane boamah, fiifi kwetey, ablawa, koku anyidoho and the lead "insulter" felix kwakye ofosu, insulting nana Addo openly, i asked myself whether the parents of these boys are still alive and whether they hear their utrances and the advice they give to them, when you insult some ones father you are insulting your own father too, these boys mentioned actually brought john Mahama down,if not what has john Mahama done as a person to suffer such a heavy defeat if not for the behavior of his uncultured young ministers, the worst being those mentioned,I encourage NANA Addo to appoint young ministers but he should let the B N I investigate their background, the behavior of these boys shows even in their various homes the replied their parents with insults when they insulted or caned,i nearly forgot Sam john is one of them,am suprised he also congratulated Nana Addo, what has changed?.Does a cocaine addict,***barred word***,***barred word***,prostate cancer patient, short man, divisive, drug dealer, name them, deserve congratulations?. So if my father is short and am also short why should i vote for a tall person to be president, they were simply talking without thinking thus Mahama,s downfall.
Well said .Thank you
Well said, God bless you. My only prayer is that, they will have access and time read this piece. Respect for the elderly comes with blessings and and divine wisdom. It is my prayer God will grant young ministers divine wisdom and the use of common sense to execute whatever responsibilities that would be given to them. God bless our homeland Ghana.
Very well said, and excellent peace of advice to the new administration and its members, mostly young graduate and ambitious individuals. I do support the writer 💯 % for good job done, to educate the public As well as government officials, especially to the out going administration. Sad to see and hear some attitude towards towards the very people should be serving. A word to a wise man is enough. God bless our homeland people.
Akuffo addo should only give ministerial appointment to individual with a minimum 10 yrs working experience, look for decent ,competent young individual to under study the older generation.cut down waste, check government contract ,no inflated contract. If not as for me I change my mind frequently.
Dear Osabutey, words of the elders are words of wisdom and they are indeed. I hope one day you will reproduce this advice again. Well done and well said.
Good piece of advice to these uncut incomming Youth ministers from the NPP ; just leave your arrogant piece of self importance at home and get some good advice from your elders at home before you start because Nana Addo will not not accept arrogance or tolearate any faeces in his court; the man is not corrupt and do not have low morals like Jon Mahama and does not have so many children which will necessitate stilling in government ; does not take prisoners on his planned governance war path like Jon Mahama who hides wrong doers at the flagstaff house -Elvis Afritie and sta Dogbe and others ; if you think it is your desire to build houses ; make quick money like Ablakwa and others ; build petrol stops or go into the drug business whilst a minister then be careful !!!!!; be sure you can deliver your brief ;because Nana Addo does not need square pegs in round holes at the flagstaff house ; if you cannot deliver please do not take the job because you shall be watched like a hawk ; be polite and help people if you can ; if you cannot help just tell people and help them with alternatives and do not assume yourself to be a bank or lender of last resort because some young NDC Ministers are very polite not like Omane Boama ;Felix Kwakye ;Ablakwa ; Sam Geroge ; GOD BLESS OUR HOMELAND GHANA !!!!!!
