I write to express my valuable appreciation to Chairman Wontumi of the NPP for the significant form of maturity he has shown towards the fight against Vigilantism in the ongoing limited voter registration by the Electoral commission.

Chairman Wontumi has been seen in all the electoral areas in the Ashanti region monitoring proceedings without any member of infamous Vigilantes.

Per our checks, at all the voter registration centres in the Ashanti region he visited he did with only a few of his party executives. This step is commendable and we encourage others to follow this unique approach to solve the menace of Vigilantism in our country.

Lately, as a country in one accord, we have stood strongly against the use of Vigilante groups by our party various political parties. And we think this is the right way to end this societal misfit.

Myself and congregation have taken keen note on some prudent steps Chairman Wontumi of the NPP in the fight to end vigilantism in our country and we wish to shown our sincerest support for such forms of acts.

We again call on all political players to take the 'Wontumi model' to end vigilantism. Every political group should tour or monitor the ongoing limited voter registration process without these vigilante organisations.

We also urge Chairman Wontumi to keep this remarkable step in ending Vigilantism in Ghana.
