RESOLUTION AT THE CENTRAL COMMITEE OF THE NATIONAL UNION OF GHANA STUDENTS (NUGS)

We, having been delegated by our various institution which are ratified under various blocs of the Union, and as the second highest decision making body under our constitution hereby resolves taking into consideration the current happenings in the union and having in mind the desire to put an end to all unconstitutional happening and blatant disregard for the constitution.

1. That the only PRESIDENT we recognize is MICHAEL PAA-QUENCY ADU, who was duly sworn in according by the provision of the constitution of NUGS and remains the PRESIDENT of the Union.

2. That the following individuals have been suspended INDEFINITELY per the powers of the Central Committee pending judicial proceedings; That they cease to be at post in the Secretariat of NUGS.

(i) Ferdinand Boakye Boateng - General Secretary
(ii) Thomas Takyi-Bonsu - Press and Information Secretary
(iii) Paul Gyan- Coordinating Secretary

3. That the President should write to all bodies about this decision and as such these individuals should henceforth cease to act in the name of the National Union of Ghana Students and that anyone or bodies who deal with them does so at their own peril.

4. That the Union fully accepts the report of its Audit Committee and hereby authorize the President and the Financial Controller to ensure that a letter is written to demand for the refund of the monies with an ultimatum of five days. Failure to comply, the union should commerce criminal proceedings against the indicted individuals.

We also wish the very best to all students in Ghana and Ghanaian abroad.
