A Dormaa-Ahenkro Circuit Court has sentenced a 31-year-old farm labourer Kwaku Yahaya to eight months imprisonment for stealing 68 bunches of plantain.
Police Inspector Nelson Fumey told the court presided over by Mr Alexander Osei Tutu that a complainant harvested some plantain and when making arrangements to convey them to the market, he detected that some had been stolen.
He said upon enquiries, the complainant was informed by a witness that the accused had brought some 14 bunches of plantain to her house for sale and when he was confronted, he admitted the offense and begged for forgiveness.
