The Ghana Police Service has disclosed that crime analysis trends by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) show criminals have resorted to robbing individuals by ambushing them at the entrance of their homes.
The robbers hide in bushes and attack their victims usually after close of business.
A release by the police on Tuesday July 11 to that effect indicated that they were “seriously tracking these criminals”, however the public is advised to up their personal security to ensure safety.
Additionally, residents living in isolated places should be extra vigilant and look for people lurking around their neighbourhood.
Further, they have advised people living in bushy areas to clear them to provide a clearer view while urging vehicle owners to install tracking devices in their cars.
The police want community members to adopt good neighbourliness and look out for each other to ensure the safety of their communities.
