A former Vice-Chancellor of the University for Development Studies and currently the Dean of Graduate Studies, University of Energy and Natural Resources, Professor Kaku Sagary-Nokoe, has noted that accessibility to higher education is central to the development of a just and equitable society and the training of the needed human resource for national development.
It is therefore necessary to ensure that as many youth as possible get access to higher education to enable them to equip themselves with the mental capacity to improve productivity and enhance living standards.
Professor Sagary-Noko was speaking at the sod-cutting ceremony for the establishment of a University, the Institute of Sciences and Humanities at Nkroful in the Western Region.
