The West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) has announced the release of the provisional results of candidates who took part in the November/December 2014 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

A statement signed by Mrs Agnes Teye-Cudjoe, Principal Public Affairs Officer at WAEC, said a total of 155,120 candidates took part in the examination, out of which 73,431, representing 47.3% were males and 81,689, representing 52.7%, were females.

It said the results of 1,236 candidates alleged to have been involved in various examination malpractices have been withheld pending the conclusions of investigations.

The statement said the withheld results would be released as soon as the Council concludes its investigations.

It said candidates may access their results online at www.waecgh.org.
