The police in Kumasi have picked up four teachers including an invigilator at the Ahenneman Kokoben D/A Junior High School on suspicion of solving exam questions for BECE candidates
Three of the suspects were arrested upon a tip off in a house near the exam centre in the process of photocopying handwritten objective answers of the ICT paper that the pupils were writing Friday morning.
The four are Emmanuel Opoku, 29; Kwadwo Boateng, 25; Kwadwo Danso, 34; and Boateng Collins, 29.
The Deputy Regional Police PRO in the Ashanti Region, Chief Inspector Godwin Ahianyo confirmed the arrest to Graphiconline’s Kwadwo Donkor.
He reports that a search on one of the suspects revealed an amount of GH¢600 in GH¢1 denominations which he admitted to have collected from the pupils.
The four are currently in police custody assisting in investigation.
