The attention of the Ministry of Education and the Ghana Education Service (GES) has been drawn to the alleged fore-knowledge of question papers of the ongoing West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in some schools particularly on social media platforms in parts of the Eastern and Greater Accra Regions.
It is highly regrettable and unfortunate that this alleged fore-knowledge has happened. The WASSCE has earnestly launched a thorough investigation into the matter to ascertain the facts.
We would like to use this opportunity to caution all such persons who might have acted in any way to suggest the circulation of questions and content to candidates, aiding students in the examination hall, colluding and conniving with any stakeholder in the quality assurance value chain of the examination to desist completely from it with immediate effect.
Management wishes to urge all candidates and parents/guardians to remain calm and focused in the wake of this unfortunate situation as the investigation continues. GES wants to assure any staff found culpable will be sanctioned accordingly.
