The headmaster of St Augustine’s College in the Central Region, Joseph Connel, has been interdicted, 3news.com has gathered.
Mr Connel was asked to step aside on Friday, October 14 by the Ministry of Education for charging unapproved fees.
Onua FM’s correspondent Kwame Kakarba told 3news.com that it all began when the interdicted headmaster charged fresh students GH¢430 aside government’s approved fees.
Most parents were not happy with the situation and some proceeded to lodge a complaint with the Central Region Directorate of the Ghana Education Service.

Please the authorities should be alert because this thing is going on on most schools in Ghana. The parents are asked to go and pay separate monies in different places on those schools n if u dont have money to pay you are asked to go and come the next day.Accra Aca is an exception though.I was there.
My son was put at St Thomas Aquinas when we went to pay his fees, the headmaster took 90ghc without giving g us a receipt and another 50ghc in another office without a receipt and we finally had to pay another 677ghc. A receipt was given to us on the 677ghc only. Can u imagine? These headmasters are milking parents. Government arise!!!!!
