The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) chapter of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) has honoured Mr Irbard Ibrahim, the Executive Director of Irbard Security Consult, for his immense contribution to national development.
The award ceremony climaxed the KNUST’s Excellence Awards which took place at the Great Hall recently.
Mr Ibrahim, after receiving the award, urged the students to use campus political groupings such as the Tertiary Education Students Confederation Network affiliated to the New Patriotic Party and the Tertiary Education Institutional Network affiliated to the National Democratic Congress positively in order to launch a career into national politics based on selflessness and good leadership.
He, therefore, called for an end to litigation and vandalism that often characterised elections on university campuses during national elections.
He urged student groups to rather unify their front to contribute meaningfully towards policy formulation in the country.
