Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry, Carlos Ahenkorah has praised the Ghana Education Service for introducing a biometric system of checking candidates in the 2019 West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination [WASSCE].

He mentioned that our Education System needs a lot of new reforms so we do away with the old system.

“In fact our educational structure needs a lot of reforms; therefore, I am happy the government of the day has taken a bold initiative to better it even though it is not finding it easy,” he emphasized.

The Tema West constituency Member of Parliament (MP) said authorities in charge of education must find appropriate but practical means of teaching students to make learning easy and interesting as practiced in some countries.

According to him, one thing that keeps haunting him was the NDC government changing the four [4] years Secondary Education policy started under former President John Agyekum Kufuor back to the three [3] years for no reason.
