The Saint Ann's Maternity Clinic at Donyina in the Ejisu-Juaben Municipality has been presented with two bales of used clothing valued at about GH1,500.
They were donated by a Denmark-based Ghanaian, Nana Adu Fordjour.
Mr Michael Appiagyei, assembly member for Piase in the Bosomtwe District, handed the items over to the clinic on behalf of the donor.
He said they are meant for distribution to needy patients and pregnant mothers who patronize the facility.
The assembly member praised health personnel at the clinic for the good job they are doing to bring quality health care to people in the area and save lives.
The Rev Sister Josephine Ottah, the Matron of the clinic, said they were grateful, adding she was confident that other individuals and organizations would be inspired by the gesture and assist the hospital.
She also appealed to Ghanaians abroad to identify with programmes designed to help make life better for people back home.
