The Government and Hospitals Pharmacists Association (GHOPSA has called off its nationwide strike with immediate effect.
This follows a crucial meeting between the leadership of the association and the Health Minister, Alban Bagbin.
In an interview with Citi News, the General Secretary of the Government and Hospitals Pharmacists Association, Franklin Acheampong, said the leaders are now satisfied with the outcome of the meeting.
�This follows a joint agreement on the roadmap on migrating the pharmacists onto the pay policy,� he said.
"After the meeting with the health minister, it is our expectation that all stakeholders will embrace the next stages of the process, to ensure that the outcome will be fair and equitable.ďż˝
In the past one week, the association had been on a collision course with the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission over their market premium on the grid structure under the new pay policy.
