Zoomlion would soon recycle waste it collects through compositing and other means to reduce the inconveniences and the problems associated with finding safe places to deposit waste.
Mr. Mike Tagoe, the Upper East Regional Manager of Zoomlion, told journalists that apart from solving the problem of finding it difficult to find sites to deposit waste, the compost would serve as manure for farming activities.
He said the company has sent a team to China to study that country's recycling methods.
Mr. Tagoe said the company was doing a lot in the area of sanitation management in the Upper East Region and that Zoomlion had signed a contract with the district assemblies in the region that bound them to keep their areas of jurisdiction clean.
He said Zoomlion, through its Malaria control Programme, sprays some parts of the region especially the district capitals to help control the spread of malaria in the region.
Mr. Francis Aberigu, the Communication Officer of the Company, said the company's target was to help effectively manage waste to reduce the related sicknesses associated with unhealthy environmental practices.
