The Coalition of Muslim Organisations, Ghana (COMOG) on Friday called on the public to take the 2010 census seriously by ensuring transparency.
In a statement signed by Mr. Mohammed Frempong, Acting Communications Director, the organisation said this was important to get the right figures for proper planning and development.
"To achieve transparency, therefore, COMOG wishes to reiterate consensus about very clear methods of enumeration, classification and understanding by stakeholders," it said.
COMOG said a good understanding of the methods can afford stakeholders to mount intensive public education for members.
It said the organisation intended to be proactive for the 2010 census and called for public education in deprived communities on all relevant issues.
