Ghanaians from all walks of life last Saturday converged on Asante Akyem Agogo to observe the one-year anniversary of the death of Mr Kwadwo Baah-Wiredu a Minister of Finance and Economic Planning.
The occasion was also used to unveil a bronze statue erected in honour of the late minister, who died in a South African hospital on September 24, 2008.
Present that the ceremony were former President J.A. Kufuor, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate in the 2008 election, Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo, his running mate, Dr Mammudu Bawumia; an NPP presidential aspirant, Mr Alan Kyerematen; former ministers of state, party executives, the wife of the late minister, Mr Margaret Baah-Wiredu, family members and the general public.
