About 30 houses in Anloga in the Keta Municipality of the Volta region were torched after a pylon cable fell on them on Tuesday.
According to a Joy FM report on Wednesday, occupants of the affected houses, who were away to work when the incident occurred had to put up with friends and relatives to pass the night.
The report said most of the houses suffered partial destruction especially at the Zion College of West Africa to the Low Cost Area.
It said household appliances were destroyed in the process before the Fire Service of Ghana intervened to save the situation.
