There were fresh clashes between rival chieftaincy groups in Gushegu Tuesday evening, hours after a similar incident resulted in the arrest of some six persons.
Police say they are yet to confirm the seriousness of the latest clashes.
Police personnel have however been dispatched to the area to restore peace and maintain law and order.
Meanwhile, the six persons arrested in connection with Tuesdays clashes between the two rival Kokomba groups in Gushegu are to be arraigned before court on Thursday instead of today as announced by the Police.
The Northern regional Police Crime Officer, DSP Mahama Arhin in an interview with XYZ News said the suspects have accused the Gushegu chief of sparking the violent clashes.
DSP Arhin said the chief is being invited for questioning before the suspects are processed for court.
