The Vice President, Mr Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur, has called on businesses in the Eurasian region to invest in Ghana. Mr Amissah-Arthur made the call when he addressed the 16th Eurasian Economic Summit as the Guest of Honour in Istanbul, Turkey on Wednesday.
The summit is an annual gathering, which brings together high-level statesmen, bureaucrats, captains of business and private sector representatives from Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
Addressing the summit, the Vice President said Ghana with its stable democracy, quality workforce and strategic geographic location provides tremendous opportunity for investors to anchor their businesses in the country in order to target the West African market.
Vice President Amissah-Arthur also observed that the potential of the West African market notwithstanding, it is not without constraints. He pointed out however that those constraints must be viewed as opportunities for investment and therefore called for a strong partnership grounded in Public Private Partnership.
