Labour unions are in a crunch meeting with the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations on the impasse over the management of the second tier pension fund.
The Acting General Secretary of the Health Workers Union, Reynolds Tenkorang told Radio Ghana that the Unions are using three approaches to press home their demand, negotiating, responding to the law suit against the unions by the government and the third option is to embark on demonstration by next week if their demands are not met.
Meanwhile a Labour Expert, Napoleon Kpo, has appealed to both labour and government to engage the services of a mediation expert to settle the
issues involved quickly.
An Economic Analyst, Isaac Adongo on his part has called on government and the striking labour unions to let reason prevail and resolve the impasse as quickly as possible. He said the economic and social impact of the strike on both government and labour is serious and devastating.
