Government communication team member, Eric Ametor-Quarmyne has said Accra will continue to experience flood if the citizenry continue to litter around.
Admitting a bad drainage system in the metropolis, he accused the people as part of the cause for the flooding whenever there is a “litter downpour” in Accra.
“If Ghanaians do not adhere to laws and keep the city clean, Accra will continue to experience flood all the time. We all have to change our mindset to curb this flooding,” he said on Asempa FM.
Torrential rainfall on Tuesday has led to flooding in some parts of Accra.
The continuous downpour since Tuesday morning to evening has rendered many roads almost impassable and caused heavy vehicular traffic.
Areas in the capital city which have been hit by the floods and vehicular traffic include Kwame Nkrumah Circle, Kaneshie, Dansoman as well as Spintex.
