President John Mahama will today, June 14, 2016, present 300 buses and 200 pick-ups to selected senior high schools, technical/vocational schools, special schools, polytechnics, private universities, public universities, colleges of education, and district education offices of newly-created districts.
This forms part of his government’s investment in the educational sector, according to a deputy minister of education (tertiary), Mr Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.
Mr Ablakwa tweeted that among the beneficiaries will be the new community day schools, student unions, the Student Loan Trust Fund secretariat, the National Teaching Council, and the Inspectorate Division of the Ghana Education Service.
Beneficiary institutions are from all the 10 regions of Ghana.
President Mahama continues “to invest massively in Education as he empowers the next generation,” he tweeted.
