The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has disclaimed a message circulating on social media to the effect that it has waived the payment of bills for October and December.
A statement issued by the state power distributor said the “supposed advert by the company currently circulating on social media informing customers of ECG about non-payment of bills by its domestic customers for October and December, 2016 is false”.
ECG stated that it had not issued any communication in relation to that and neither had it received any such directive from government.
The company urged its customers to pay their bills promptly for better service.
