The United Kingdom’s High Commissioner to Ghana, Mr. Jon Benjamin has implied in a publicly shared tweet that the newly opened Kwame Nkrumah interchange is nothing exceptional, based on his travel experience.
When a Twitter user, @ZimmAconcept mentioned the commissioner in their tweet that said they were looking forward to knowing Mr. Benjamin’s impression about the new flyover, the response was perhaps not what many celebrants (of the latest infrastructure) would have expected.
"I’ve driven over thousands of flyovers in scores of countries @ ZimmAconcept so I’m not sure I’d notice particularly" he tweeted.

WE WANT CHANGE NOT NA INTERCHANGE, PERIOD!
Kuffour constructed flyovers and interchanges as well: Mallam junction, Tetteh quarshie roundabout, CP, Ofankor,Atomic junction, Alajo. Asokwa, Sofoline and interchange at Kumasi. Kuffor constructed first class roads which Rawlings, Mills, Acheampong, Nkrumah and evry government did. Teacher training and nursing training allowance were paid, Cocoa production increased through cocoa mass spraying, Youth employment introduced, Health insurance, Free maternal care, Metro mass transit, Fertilizer Subsidy, Capitation grant, Livelihood empowerment programme, Masloc. Cant you see Mahama has lowered the standard so much, is sickling!!!! Ghanaians wise up,
Truth be told. How special is the circle interchange from the Ako Adjei (Sankara) interchange constructed by Rawlings about 20 years ago??? Aba! How so special is it from the mallam junction interchange??.
He was asked for his candid opinion and he gave it! What's more, all he said was that he wouldn't notice particularly! After just six weeks, the novelty will wear off and we would become blase about it. That's the way to progress. By looking at the next challenge, not becoming awe-struck with the latest achievement!
@ Danny what really is your problem, has the man not got a right to express his opinion? Why is that some Africans find it so difficult to accept any negative opinion from others? It is rather pathetic that you choose to compare such ordinary flyover with what exists in Dubai when you have no idea about the level of development in Dubai. What you have in Ghana by all standards is ordinary and does not even come to the level of even Cairo which is an African country. Stop praising mediocrity and raise your level to beyond that of the third grade standard. As one of your musicians put it after 59 years of independence your people still do not have proper toilet facilities in their homes, you still have open gutters and you are singing the praise of a political party because they have built a third grade flyover. Wake up from your slumbering mentality!!!
THANK YOU MAHAMA, I WENT TO CUT SOME OF THE NKRUMAH INTERCHANGE THIS MORNING TO PAY MY CHILDREN'S SCHOOL FEES. KINDLY GO AND CUT SOME FOR LORDINA TOO TO EAT. PERHAPS YOU HAVE TO GRIND IT FOR HER, AS SHE SEEMS TO HAVE LOST MOST OF HER TEETH. HAVE A GOOD DAY INCOMING EX PRESIDENT DROSMANI CORRUPTION MAHAMA
Is this Jon Benjamin a politician or a diplomat? He dabbles in Ghanian politics and talk by heart. what does that interchange got to do with him? we have not taken a loan from British government to construct it. he should keep that his mouth and face ***barred word***. iddiioot of a Diplomat
Truth sometimes hurts like o-u-c-h. But I like honest and sincere people. Ghanaians are so concerned about bread and butter issues which are quite basic like food and clean water.
Thank God he didn't spend all the monies. am not celebrating any leader because of interchange. That's his duty. Am for Change.
You tell them man. A country full of green ***barred word*** people. Give then visas so they can see the world.
