The office of Amass Ghana would like to extend a warmth appreciation to the Electoral commission and its staff for administering a credible election process.
The peaceful and inclusive nature of the election is a proof to Ghanaians of our vivacious democracy.
The electoral commission has demonstrated to the people of Ghana and the world at large that their penchant for fairness, transparency and peace still remains a priority and, will not be destroyed by any political party.
We would want to extol His Excellency John Dramani Mahama for throwing in the towel at the crucial minute.
The decision to concede defeat has saved us from any form of humiliation that was waiting to ambush us as a nation.
We also pay accolade to the other presidential candidates for their statesmanship in accepting the result and respecting the will of the Ghanaian people.
We are of the view that through their peaceful conduct during the polls, the populaces have written the next episode in Ghana’s democracy, a democracy that continues to inspire people across the region and the continent.
We laud the Ghana National Peace Council and other civil society organization for their input to the peace process.
We also congratulate Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo, president elect and pray that, God favors him as he gets ready to occupy the highest office – come January 7, 2017.
