A Kintampo traditional ruler in the Brong Ahafo Region is accusing the invincible forces of the New Patriotic Party of remotely contributing to the tragic death of some seventeen revelers at the Kintampo waterfalls on Sunday March 19, 2017.
According to Nana Essah Boakuro, the Kintampo Invincible Forces, a vigilante group of the NPP forcibly took over management of the tourism facility without accounting to anybody.
Speaking to host of Abusua Nkommo, Kwame Adinkrah, Nana Essah Boakuro said, immediately after the December elections of 2016, the Kintampo Invincible Forces of the NPP chased away those in charge of the facility under the orders that their party has won the governance mandate.
The Chief laments, since taking over management of the facility, patronage has gone down due to the NPP Forces’ lack of competence in managing the place.
“Management of the facility is not like any other tourism area. Those in charge should be able to read early warning signals and close the facility as and when there is imminent danger,” he revealed.
“There are times we foresee danger as a result of weather changes or any other factors…this enable us warn off revelers for their own safety until the weather is conducive and normalised for tourism,” he added.
“I still don’t understand why did they allow the students to swim when it was raining…when you go to the falls and it is cloudy, you have to abandon your swimming and go home,” Nana said.
“However, since the NPP boys took over, the waterfalls has been handled anyhow because they lack the expertise and competence,” Nana Boakuro revealed.
He said, “since they took charge of the waterfalls, they have never poured libation neither have they ever accounted for the revenue they make from tourists.”
”I have severally called in the Brong Ahafo Regional police commander to take action and it seemed the gravity of the situation was downplayed until this disaster happened,” he said.
“I am preparing to go to the Police Commander again…this time around, I will make sure the NPP boys are chased away from the place for the rightful managers to take over”, the Chief added.

how do your allow people swim when the weather is cloudy
Is this chief serious at all? people have lost their lives and just listen to yourself. did the invisible forces cause the wind to uproot the tree also?? what is this? and who are the rightful owners?
This so-called chief is clearly a footsoldier oo of NDC. Where was he when the Azoka boys were ceasing business facilities including toilets. For me this chief is being hypocritical because for all you know this water falls was under the care of this people u call invincible Force and was ceased when Prof Mills won power and so the NPP boys are right to go back for their businesses
WHY SO MANY DEATH IN OUR COUNTRY SINCE N.P.P. TAKES OVER POWER? THE FACT IS THEY SOLD THE SOUL OF THE COUNTRY TO THE DEVIL TO GAIN POWER.BUT THEY SHOULD KNOWN THAT THE DAY OF RECKONING WILL SOON BEFALL EACH AND EVERYONE OF THEM WHO IS INVOLVED IN THIS DEVILISH ACTS. THE BLOOD OF THE INNOCENT GHANAIAN YOUNG CHILDREN WILL NOT BE IN VAIN.THEY THINK THEY ARE LIVING IN HEAVEN BUT RATHER THEY ARE LIVING IN HELL, AND THEY SHALL GET THE PUNISHMENT OF THEIR DEVILISH ACTS IN THIS WORLD AND THE HEREAFTER..
This system that members of the ruling party take control of money raising places like the tourist area, lorry station, public toilets is a disgrace. It pouts party before country. Both the leadership of NPP and previously the leadership of NDC must accept responsibility. This system is the ruination of Ghana. Will Nana Akufo-Addo now start to take action to end this deplorable system? I am not hopeful, but I hope I am wrong
If patronage has fallen how come there were so many people leading to the death of as many as 20? And why did we not hear this until now?
Why do we bring this kind of politics into the picture if the previous caretakers have been taking care of the place and we have never had such a tragedy then it means the know their job so if the current guys are not experience enough to detect early warning signs they are to be blamed for the deaths. How do u allow ppl to be swimming whiles its cloudy or even raining? Its unfortunate but i think some ppl must be held accountable for the lives lost and if possible punished for it because lately human lives don't matter to Ghanaians anymore. Avoidable accidents have claimed lives for the past 3 months and all we care about is politics. This is sad and shameful on our path as a nation and a people.
Let the Chief tell us whom the forces took over from? Yes! From NDC !!! NPP is in power and why should NDC supporters be in charge?
GIVE A DOG A BAD NAME AND HANG IT
Sad story
