President Akufo-Addo delivering his maiden State of the Nation Address on Tuesday February 21, 2017 described himself as a man who was in a great hurry to develop the country.
He said he got to work to immediately after his inauguration by quickly putting his team that would help him govern because there is no time to waste.
"I have heard it said that I am behaving like a man in a hurry, Mr Speaker I am indeed in a hurry. The times in which we live demands that we all be in a hurry to deal with the problems we face,’’ Nana Addo said.
However, two months after making that comment, General Overseer of the Glorious Waves Church, Prophet Badu Kobi has faulted the president for making such a comment.
Speaking to Uncle Nat on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, the renowned prophet said "I was highly disappointed in the president for making such a statement.
"You are a hurry going where? God who created the universe and everything in it, is not in a hurry so why should you an ordinary being say you are in a hurry? God created the universe in six days and rested on the seventh day so why should you say you are in hurry?. The day he made that statement, I said, these people will destroy this country.’’
He added, "I am looking for the opportunity to meet the president and question him why he made that statement. I will ask why he is in a hurry and for what. He needs to lay the foundation and take his time. You can’t say you are in a hurry because God is the one who directs our steps and so if you are in a hurry, you will commit blunders.’’
Prophet Kobi stressed that, some men of God have failed to chide the president for making that comment and has indicated that Nana Addo should allow God to guide his steps so he can succeed.

I WILL FOREVER STAND UP FOR THIS GREAT MAN OF GOD IRRESPECTIVE OF WHAT HE SAYS.
In my opinion, a genuine prophet of God will never get his prophecy wrong. Once you get it wrong, you are not of God. Because the Most High will never for once give you a wrong message for His people. This man has no credibility to even talk about the President.
I heard man of God quoted below God created the universe in six days and rested on the seventh day. so does he observe that that he is talking about and what is that they?
I like your point but this Kobi deserves every bit of inventive directed at his person. He has never respected our president and we the majority of Ghanaians will not sit while this charlatan who is full of himself with arrogant posture disrespect our president this way. Was it not this man who said Nana Addo could never be president? After his fake prophecy failed, he sat on another radio station to question the majority decision that brought the president to power. For this case, he is completely out of gear and mind because how can being hurry to develop this nation amount to equality with God? In any case, does he think that the president would not pray and seek God's guidance in his pursuit to work for Ghana? Definitely this man does not deserve any defense and respect from me. if he doesn't respect the president who is the embodiment of the people, we shall equally not respect him.
People quote the bible anyhow to suite something. ..give us a break
When you lose relevance, desperation n show of religious piety is inevitable. Since when did being in a hurry become a concern to a so- called Prophet? Such shame!
If the man u claimed could never be President is in a hurry, does it concern you?
WHAT A RUTHLESS PLATFORM,WHERE LOGIC AND REASON IS THROWN OUT THROUGH THE WINDOW AND UNWARRANTED INVECTIVES AND PERSONALITY ATTACKS POURED ON WELL MEANING PEOPLE.YOU MAY NOT LIKE PROPHET BADU KOBI AND WHAT HE STANDS FOR BUT WE OWE HIM SOME PERCENTAGE OF RESPECT.I'M A BONA FIDE NPP STALWART AND I'LL NOT GO THE TANGENT ALL THE COMMENTATORS HAVE GONE.I BELIEVE ALL THE MAN OF GOD SOUGHT TO SAY WAS A CAUTION TO THE PRESIDENT TO SEEK GUIDANCE AND DIRECTION FROM GOD AS HE TAKES STEPS TO RESOLVE THE NUMEROUS CHALLENGES THE COUNTRY IS FACED WITH RATHER THAN RELYING ON HIS OWN WISDOM AND POWER.THE MAN OF GOD SHOULD HAVE BEEN A BIT CLEAR ON THE SUBJECT.I'LL IMPLORE ALL OF YOU TO BE MILD ON HIM.GOD BLESS GHANA.
ASK THIS OSOFO TO ***barred word***. HE HAS LOST HIS CREDIBILITY .HE CAME ON TELE LIVE TO SAY NANA ADDO CAN NEVER BE PRESIDENT. SO I DONN'T EXPECT ANYTHING GOOD FROM HIM. OSOFO ***barred word*** YOU 'RE A FALSE PROPHET.
I dislike this man....he is just too controversial.he is not a true man of God in my opinion
