The Director of Public Relations for the Public Utility Regulatory Commission (PURC), Nanayaa Jantuah has resigned.
This follows allegations of financial misappropriation by the leadership of the commission.
Nanayaa Jantuah and the Executive Secretary of the PURC, Samuel Sarpong were invited by the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) for interrogations into the allegations. According to reports, their passports have been seized.
According to a letter addressed to the Executive Director of the PURC, Samuel Sarpong, Nanayaa's resignation will take effect from November 2017.
“I wish to resign from the Commission effective 11th November 2017. Prior to my resignation, I wish to take all outstanding leave which is accrued to me as a staff of the Commission starting from 4th of June 2017" part of the letter stated.

Why do public officials refuse to take their annual leave when its time for them to... They are afraid their corrupt practices would be uncovered whilst they are away. In fact Nana Yaa Jantuah should not have been allowed to take her accured 6 months leave. If she is resigning, it should be with immediate effect, not after taking her 6 months accrued leave.. I bet she would be paid!!!
She deserve to be hanged.....
Chief Theeiff of PURC. She has proved that what men can do, women can out do men!!!! She was always on TV and Radio defending the stealllling of pooor Ghanaians by utilities so that she could get her chop chop at the expense of the suffering masses. Shame on her!!!! Theeeeeeeefffffffffffffff
