Board Members of SSNIT will meet today, August 30, to give approval for the Company’s IT Manager to be sacked for faking the Ph.D. which he used to gain employment there.
Caleb Afaglo’s act has been in the news since Monday when it emerged that he presented falsified qualifications to secure the high-level position at SSNIT.
The incident has triggered discussions about the scrutiny which goes into recruitments in public institutions.
Meanwhile, Mr. Afaglo in an exclusive interaction with Starr News has disputed claims that the certificates he presented were fake.
Commenting on the matter, Labour Consultant Austin Gamey said it will be improper and unjust to sack Afaglo alone. Austin Gamey says all Managers and Directors who played a role in his recruitment must be equally sacked.
Meanwhile, the Economic and Organized Crime Office on Tuesday raided the office of Perfect Business Systems, the IT firm that was contracted by SSNIT to install the now controversial $72 million software.

dissolve the so called incompetent SSNIT board, they are aimless.
is it now that you are meeting over this matter? If the case was not exposed will not have continued to use him? I have said it before, only stuuuuuuuuppppid people are appointed to board members of important public institutions in Ghana. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuls.
What a shame. Ghanaians must look to a new leader in 4 years because this guy is going to be a big disappointment.
Instead of using purely competent people who can be fired for non-performance. Nana addo has followed Mahama's incompetent template of using politicians in offices that they will clearly UNDERPERFORM. worse, he cannot sack them for the bad performance. Ghana will continue to suffer inspite of Nana's big talks of prosperity. What a waste of opportunity.
after winning power, Nana addo has surrounded himself and filled public offices with incompetent people. He has also allowed the corrupt people who chopped money under Mahama to stay in office or go free. Ghanaians will soon rise up against nana addo for not punishing corruption and persisting with it. That is what i am seeing.
sorry to the SSNIT board chair hon. addo kuffuor but i cant take this non.sense anymore. who is telling us what, wasnt there a haanding over note, wasnt there an audited account handed to the new board or management. what joke is that, today $34m, tomorrow $66 and the next day $72m so what is the guarantee that next week it wont reach $100m, i and think many cant take this joke, ssnit must do a proper audited account and seize giving us childish excusses, who know if the new board and management are also not putting in their figures to retrieve later. i think NANA is far disappointing many of us in the country, we cant wait for special prosecutor while AG caan do same work. kuffour did not have special prosecutor but kwame peprah, salomey etc were convicted by the court. i am assuming they all ie the NPP appointees all wanna stea.l theirs before the SP comes to office if not, why cant the AG at least start court actions against some clearly showing financial lost to the state, the country is stand still, boring and always given promises, i think enough of the promises, campaign is far over, if people are corrupt, at least initial court actions, if you think the info at the ministries etc dont tally, STOP accusing the NDC of corruption and lets work to make ghana better, after all we know the key people to prosecute are been pardoned or negotiated and the less ones people are chasing, let us as NPP cchase the big thiev.es like LORDINA, IBRAHIM, WAYOME, OPUNI, ASIADU NKETIA etc and stop the excalating jokes at SSNIT as if the isnt any credible ausitor in Ghana to bring finality to that ***barred word*** SSNIT scandal
