The present economic state of the Akufo-Addo administration has been classified to be very bad, according to a survey by Afrobarometer.
Afrobarometer is a pan-African, non-partisan research network that conducts public attitude surveys on democracy, governance, economic conditions, and related issues in countries across Africa.
In a survey by the research network, several Ghanaians do not see the condition of the country to be fairly good.
Out of the respondents, 28% of the total population described the economy as "very bad" whereas 26% think it is "fairly bad".
In terms of living conditions, the survey indicated that about 27% of the respondents stressed that their living conditions are in a very bad state, and this could be as a result of the bad economy under the Akufo-Addo regime.
Nonetheless, many Ghanaians asserted to Afrobarometer that they would vote for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) "if Presidential elections were held tomorrow".
The figures given were 49% of the respondents pledging their support for the NPP as against 22% for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Cooked from the kitchen of npp.But the good thing is that the ''food''is not cooked well. When we take it we will run diarrhoea. So we reject it.
The Afrobarometer survey has 100 questions in all and 5 on the economy (Q4A-Q7) and not only one question as portrayed in this article. This is biased reportage and I don't know what the writer wants to achieve. Read it yourself and you would come to the conclusion that the President is doing well. As for economy "fairly good" both urban and rural.
The outcome of research surveys are near accuracy if properly conducted. The survey said the economy under Nana is very bad. Why are hypocr*tes on this platform twisting the story to suit their bogus perceptions. If the survey had concluded economy was good then their stories would have been different. HYPOCR*TES!!!!
Everyone since 2000 looking at economic trend knows npp to be good at managing the economy and ndc messing and stealing.

So you conduct a survey in a country with a population of well over 29 million. And you were only able to interview/study 56 citizens? WOOOOOWWW
Akufo Addo INHERITED UNPRECEDENTED AND GARGANTUAN MESS from his predecessor who, besides his IMMACULATE INCOMPETENCE, MISMANAGEMENT AND CORRUPTED OFFICIALS, deliberately f##ked up the economy in December 2017 before he left the scene. Akufo Addo is getting THE FUNDAMENTALS OF THE ECONOMY RIGHT BESIDES CORRECTING MAHAMA'S WRONGS. FOR 8 SOLID YEARS, NDC MESSED UP THE ECONOMY, LOOTED AND SHARED SOME OF THE NATION'S MONEY AND SENT US BACK TO THE IMF, SHAME ON THEM. NPP HASN'T CELEBRATED TWO YEARS IN GOVERNMENT YET. LET US BE PATIENT WITH NANA BECAUSE THE HARDSHIP WE'RE WITNESSING IS THE FRUIT OF THE NDCs 8 YEARS OF MISRULE, SHAME ON THEM!
The desperation of NPP to retain power is so inordinate. You are not in power for even one and half years and you are sponsoring agencies to run use.less survey claiming you will win power in 2020. You haven't done even your 1d1f, 1m to every constituency as well as 1village1dam and you talking about 2020 election. Are we serious at all.
There is consistency in both statements. They agree it is bad but they are hopeful that NPP can and will make it better. Tha'ts all.
Any level headed and intelligent person can easily see through this bogus survey and punch so many holes. First of all, most the respondents claimed the economy is bad under nana addo but they would still vote for him, a clear indication that thise who were interviewed were NPP sympathizers, plain and simple. One the other hand only 22percent of the respondents claimed the would vote for NDC, another indication that they were NDC sympathizers. Overall the survey was just a lopsided survey to interview mostly NPP sympathizers. If you want to do proper survey, interview those who are floating voters. If you go and interview NDC NPP supporters, they would always say what you want to hear about their parties. Finally, does it make sense to say you are suffering and still decide to vote for the government on whose watch you are suffering? Of course only lunatics make such decisions.
