The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will today July 3 cut the sod for the construction works to begin on the Pokuase interchange which connects Accra to Nsawam.
The government of Ghana and the African Development Bank (AfDB) signed an agreement for the Accra Urban Transport Project, which includes the construction of a three-tier interchange at Pokuase on the Accra-Nsawam road.
The project will cost $94million. Out of this, the AfDB will provide about $83million and the remaining $11.7m will come from the Government of Ghana.
The interchange is expected to ease traffic flow considerably and shorten travel time for commuters.
