THE SECURITY Operative who slapped Ningo-Prampram Member of Parliament, Sam George has reportedly been suspended.
Commander in Charge of National Security Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Unit, DSP Samuel Kojo Azuku made this known to the Justice Emile Short’s Commission of Inquiry probing the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election on Monday, February 18, 2019.
Sam George was seen in a video, being slapped by a security officer on January 31, 2019 during the by-election in the constituency.
There has since been calls for the arrest of the person who slapped the MP for Ningo Prampram but the DSP Azuku said he had been suspended as a result.
The Commission resumed its sittings today, Monday at the Osu Castle in Accra.
