Award-winning undercover journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, is likely to release ‘Part 2’ of his ongoing explosive documentary on illegal mining titled, “Galamsey Fraud” this week.
The documentary is aimed at naming and shaming selfish and powerful individuals, stabbing President Nana Akufo-Addo and Ghanaians in the back, in his relentless efforts at fighting against illegal mining popularly known as ‘galamsey’.
Sources close to the Tiger-Eye PI team, have hinted that the yet-to-be released documentary, is essentially focused on some top officials in government, including; ministers of State, politicians as well as security personnel.
These individuals, who are supposed to be seen helping the President win the fight against the dreaded illegal mining, were rather caught red-handed on secret video tapes, by the lenses of Anas and his crew, receiving bribes at the blind side of the President, to circumvent measures put in place to curb illegal mining and, allowing a company to mine.
Details about the explosive documentary, is soon to be released in the public domain in the course of week.
It will be recalled that the earlier secret filming captured the Secretary to the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining (IMCIM), Mr. Charles Cromwell Bissue, being given cash amounting to GH¢35,000 in three meetings, through one Andy Owusu, a connection man, to help circumvent the process to renewing the mining license for ORR Resources Enterprise.

I just feel Sad for Anas...To read the thoughts of people here show how endemic corruption is in Ghana...infact everyone is CORRUPT...Those ranting are just afraid that it could have been them....If what Anas is doing is wrong...what is the best way to catch to top public officials who connive to steal??? huh...How the hell can you catch any PUBLIC officer who is backed by law to do certain things wrong against the state...The emphasis is PUBLIC OFFICER.....Entrapment is the best way to go....Go and Check US Police who intentionally bait criminals just to arrest them....google and check.....That is far worse than Anas but everyone sees it as good..because it rids the society of bad ppl...or ppl who have the tendency to be bad.....Check the video on 'Bait Car' on ***barred word*** and tell me what the Police did is wrong...
I share your sentiments. That shows the hypocrisy of the Ghanaian. I guess the state will need to engage consultants to define what corruption is. And our okro mouth lawyers- shame unto you. Where is Occupy Ghana? Do they also not understand what corruption is? And shame to the independent presidential candidates who easily run to support those against Anas and support campaigns for marijuana. What better alternatives do they provide? Have we lost our senses. Nyantakyi is still walking around in Ghana a free man long after Fifa has taken its stand. Do we understand human rights more than FIFA? Very sad!
It is a real surprise that those who sang corruption rhymes (gyida, suba, sida, akonfem and etc) are now afraid of Anas releases and and are adopting various tactics to stop Anas. Most of the comments here just confirm the Sage HE Kuffour that corruption is from Adam. Leave Anas alone and let him expose corruption in the public sector. The presidents may be innocent but their followers are very corrupt and some one must let them know that eyes are watching even in their secrete places. Thanks to technology.
Hmmm. Two issues here that needs to be addressed. firstly, proper investigation must be concluded on those caught of he tapes and appropriate legal procedures organized to punish this acts. No one caught in this act should be allowed to go free without justice. Secondly, even though Anas is bring us the stories does not imply he is free of wrong doing. His motives needs to be checked and investigated as well. lets not jump into early conclusion without appropriate investigation. Guys lets stop political influenced comments and Save mother Ghana Thank You.
I AM BEGINNING TO TO FEEL THE DISAPPOINTMENT OF THE WORK OF ANAS AFTER ASKING MYSELF THE CRITICAL MORAL AND BUSINESS QUESTIONS. WHO PAYS ANAS FOR ALL HE IS BEEN DOING? WHATS IS THE PRESENT FINANCIAL STATUS OF THE ORDINARY INVESTIGATIOVE JOURNALIST OF A CERTAIN ANAS AREMEYAW ANAS? HOW DOES HE BECOME THE WEALTHIEST JOURNALIST IN GHANA NOW AND THE SOURCE? NOW CAN WE LOOK AT THE AFTER EFFECT OF HIS ACTIVITIES ON THE NATION'S PASSION NO.1, FOOTBALL. THE REST OF AFRICA GANGING AGAINST GHANA'S INTEREST ON THE CONTINENT IS NOT FAR FETCH WHERE OFFICIATING IS DRAWN FROM VICTIMS OF HIS INVESTIGATIONS IN THE MOSTLY THE EASTERN, SOUTH ERN, AND NORTHERN AFRICA. FOLKS IF YOU HAVE NOT AWAKEN THE REALITY, WATCH THE OFFICIATING OF ASANTE KOTOKO'S CAF CAMPAIGN. WATCH THE RECENT GHANA KENYA 2ND LEG IN ACCRA. GHANA IS CERTAINLY ENDURING THE BRUNT OF REVENGE ON OUR PRESENT AND FUTURE PARTICIPATION EVEN IF WE ARE LUCKY TO QUALIFY FOR MAJOR TOURNAMENT. JUST WAIT AND SEE WHAT WILL HAPPEN AT AFCON IN JUNE 2019. ANAS MEANWHILE IS ENJOYING HIS BOOTY IN HARD CURRENCY COOLY IN HIS MANSSIONS. ANY MEMBER OF HIS TEAM WHO TRIES TO BE A RENEGADE OR EXECUTE AN INVESTIGATIVE CONTRACT ON THE BLIND SIDE OF ANAS WILL BE A RISK AND THUS CALLS HIS ELIMINATION SAULER. HMMMMMMM! CAN GHANA SAIL THROUGH A GANG UP SELECTED OFFICIALS THAT DOESN'T INCLUDE GHANAIANS AT THE CERTRE OF OFFICIATING AT AFCON 2019? YOUR GUESS IS AS GOOD AS MINE.
WHAT HAPPENED TO ANAS PARLIAMENT UNDER COVER EXPOSE WHICH MAHAMA BRIBED ANAS NOT TO SHOW. THIS SO CALLED CORRUPT ANAS IS ENRICHING HIMSELF THROUGH FRAUDULENT WAYS AND YOU WANT WHO TO SUPPORT HIM. GET A LIFE.
cld Anas tell us why he wanted to blackmail Nana Addo? who watches the watchman?
Anas, you think you can check corruption in Ghana? I think you are just joking. Most people in Ghana are corrupt abd they exist everywhere in the institutions, private companies, military, police, civil service, chiefs, priests, you just name it. Corruption in Ghana has assumed such terminologies as protocol, old boys/girls associations, church associations, etc. You have a lot of work to do, my brother.
The comments i see here show clearly the difference between us and the countries we go to cup in hand for our daily bread. A public officer collecting cash? In particular in the office? Good Lord what are we talking about. We need more civic education to know how PUBLIC OFFICIALS should behave. What at all are we doing to ourselves? Nana Addo was making the right noise about this issue till he got into government. A public officer should in no way be collecting cash in particular in the office. If that official is a cashier, that's fine but a manager? People supporting this act? We will continue to fail. Get to Heathrow and try to pay any public official who is not supposed to collect cash or not the cashier and he or she will totally refuse. This cock and bull story that Wontumi asked the one to send it to you does not wash. In any case, after he took the money he was clearly circumventing the process. Am I the only one who heard his machinations? I do not need an unedited video to see what was clearly going on. I criticised Mahama when there was a phony gift of a car to him. this is equally wrong and I blame those who are supporting it. I have said so many times that I do not blame the politicians and their appointees but blame those who have unflinching support for them. you are more dangerous than those who commit the act because you give them boldness. You may think the problem is far away but when those who are disenfranchised get fed up, they will turn on your relatives and yourselves. There is a reason that our kingsmen travel near and far to be enslaved all over again and it is because of how we have made it a job to support wrongdoing in our society. Let's stop it and bring some discipline just like where we go to borrow for our next meal.
There you go, Pro corruption apologetic. You could have said 'I don't care' if you really have useful thoughts in your brain. I do care and I believe those right thinking Ghanaians do care about rampant corruption and blatant stealing from our national coffers. Your cheer leader is retreating and it's shameful that guys like you are still trying hard to discredit Anas. Go pee and sleep before you wet your bed
