The Despite and Special Groups health fair is still ongoing at the El Wak multi-purpose stadium in Cantonments, a suburb of Accra with thousands of people still trooping in.
People from all walks of life are undergoing various health screening like the checking of Body Mass Index (BMI), High Blood Pressure, Diabetes, breast cancer screening, prostate cancer and others are donating blood.
Speaking to some individuals at the Health Fair, a woman from Tabora in Accra told Peace FM that she came to the venue with her family at 2am, Saturday just to partake in the ongoing exercise.
So far we have people coming from Koforidua, Suhum, Asamankese and Kade in the Eastern Region; Tarkwa and Takoradi in the Western Region; Cape Coast and Kasoa in the Central Region, whiles majority of the crowd are from Accra and its environs.
Official figures filtering in from the National Blood Service indicates that as at midday nearly 500 members of the public had donated blood.

when will ple use their common sense in this country. u go an donate blood to ritualist for free and then if things go well in ur life u complain abt the govt. i can imagine the smiles on the faces of those ritualist now.
