A magistrate�s court at Nsawam, on Tuesday remanded Baba Ali, 27, into prison custody to reappear on November 13 for robbery.
His plea was not taken.
Police Inspector Alex Cosmos told the court presided over by Justice Joseph Mensah, that at about 2000 hours on June 27, Rebecca Asare, a bread baker, at Amoakrom near Nsawam and her friends heard an unusual noise outside the house where there were watching television.
Prosecution said Asare and the friends decided to find out what was happening outside only to be confronted by Ali and five others now on the run wielding cutlasses and other dangerous weapons.
Insp Cosmos said Asare and her friends were beaten and their room ransacked and GHC 200.00 stolen.
He said Ali was arrested on September 20 at his hide-out at Adoagyiri Zongo.
Prosecution said the docket on Ali�s case would be sent to the Attorney General�s Department in Koforidua for advice and the police have mounted search for the other robbers.
