A UK-based International Evangelist, Dr Lawrence Tetteh on Wednesday described the four- nil victory of the Black Satellites over their England counterparts as a national honour that should promote unity and goodwill among the citizenry.

He said the victory of Ghana over the UK was also a befitting honour to the centenary celebration of the first President of Ghana, Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah who wrested independence from the British colonialist, 52 years ago.

Dr Tetteh who spoke to the Ghana News Agency from the UK congratulated the Coach, Sallas Tetteh for proving to sceptics that he was in charge despite public criticism against him.

“He stood firm, stayed focussed and led the Black Satellites to an all important victory.

“It sends a good signal that the boys were well groomed,” he said.

Dr Tetteh asked the players to stay focus and united and should not be carried away by the victory.

“You (players) must bring honour to yourselves and nation.”

Dr Tetteh requested them to make placement in the national team- Black Stars their future aspiration and yearn to be like players such as Michael Essien, Stephen, Sulley Muntari and Laryea Kinston.

He advised them to guard against arrogance, which he said had been the bane of a number of soccer stars.
